Four Degrees West Festival

This work was completed as a second year University Project that focused on the importance of experimentation and development.

4 Degrees West is an imagined summer festival which boasts alternative activities to celebrate the city of Swansea. The design proposes an abstract visualization of the festival, putting emphasis on it's 'urban' and 'coastal' proximity. The abstract design aims to create an 'alternative' feel that is coherent with the festivals proposed identity and celebrates the 'alternative' activities on offer. The design process originates from a series of mark making exercises with homemade brushes and utilises everyday objects to create its alternative typography.
